I just tried it and verified a crash in wintexmacs using yacas. I am currently debugging this and will keep you informed.

Yes, that's fine - or at least I get a yacas prompt.
But when I enter some command
yacas] 5+3;
wintexmacs crashes.

An entry for Yacas should appear in the menu Insert/Session. Then you go
to Insert/Session/Yacas, and it
should insert a new Yacas session at the current cursor position.
