Hi!. I'm having the same trouble as this guy on Debian AMD-64. Any
idea of how can i fix it?

The symptoms are the same:

I noticed a TeXmacs user group post starting November 28, 2005 where
there was an unresolved problem that ispell doesn't work on an AMD
64-bit platform with TeXmacs. I am having what appears to be this same
issue.

I am using TeXmacs 1.0.6 (the rpm provided by Fedora), international
aspell 3.1.20, in Fedora Core 4 x86_64 on a dual core AMD.

Is there any fix or idea on what is wrong here? I am using aspell with
a symlink to ispell, but I get the same errors described for just
using ispell.

briefly, when I start the spell checker, it always selects the first
word and asks me just to accept, replace or insert. If I say accept I
get a "ispell does not respond" error message in TeXmacs. The output
at the command prompt is nothing more than the initial

TeXmacs] Launching 'ispell -a -d english'

This is silly that I have to open the document on an older Linux box
to do spell checking...

Kris
