- Subject: [TeXmacs] difference between texmacs-qt file dialog on the mac

Hi,
I have two versions of TeXmacs-qt for the mac installed: one is
1.0.7.3 from fink, and the other 1.0.7.4 from the dmg file on the
texmacs site.
These two are somewhat different: the open file dialog in the fink
version shows an osx file selector dialog, with all its power and
options. The dmg version displays a file dialog that probably comes
from qt, is less powerful, and conforms less to osx.
How come this difference exists?
In the qt dialog in the dmg version, you can't filter by file type.
The filetypes available are only "All Files (*)". It would be good to
be able to filter files, so that you only see .tm files.
In the OSX dialog in the fink version, you can enter a filter in the
top-right corner - somewhat better.
However, the OSX dialog also has problems: if you try to expand the
search terms to include additional conditions - by pressing the "+" in
the file dialog, TeXmacs crashes.
