Hi,
In windows, use escape to send meta to TeXmacs, which is hidden somewhere in the manual. But about the sematic editing, I just know if math symbols with space are pasted back to latex, you’ll get ‘$\partial_{x_{\xi}} \hspace{0.2em} A$’ as the result.
I think this time I send the mail to the mailing list.

Thank you for the reply.
You need to reply to the mailing list to notify everyone. Also, Meta+space is switching input method in Windows. In addition, will such space interfere with TeXmacs’s semantic editing?

Hi,
I think Meta+space may satisfy your need, which will place a 0.2spc between symbols. What’s more, you can just type the exact length of space in the inputbox above. You can even change the length to negative.

Hi,
I notice that with STIX fonts, the _expression_ $\partial_{x_{\xi}}A$ looks bad since the tail of A overlaps with \xi.
Is there a way to change the space between mathematical symbols such that this overlap can be fixed?
