Vincent,
You need a new counter to do this and a macro which each time you say
\numero it prints the current counter and increments it. There is some
indication on how to use counter in the online help. Let me know if you want
some help about it.
Maybe it is better to move the discussion on the forum so that it could be
more easily searched by others.
