I have not yet tried TeXmacs 1.0.0.4. I suppose that you meant
'libserver.so'. TeXmacs should be able to find it.
Did you try to run texmacs.bin directly? You should run the texmacs
shell that sets LD_LIBRARY_PATH for you.
Independantly of texmacs. A good way to see where an executable search
files is: strace -e trace=file you_executable paras.
