Hi,

I just found the following bugreport which I had accidentially ignored
for some time. If I undestand correctly, <format|line break> is simply
not intended to work line latex' \\, but rather like a weak \newline.
Is there a command in texmacs which corresponds to latex' \\ command?

-Ralf.

Package: texmacs
Version: 1.0.0.17-4
Severity: normal

It appears that line break in texmacs only breaks the line when the
content between two newlines cannot fit in a line on paper. The problem
can be reproduced as follows:

A<format|new line>B<format|line break>C<format|new line>D

The letters B and C will appear on the same line. Using newlines
instead is undesirable because they produce extra vertical spaces, and
contents will be separated into different paragraphs in LaTeX export.

What I actually need is an equivalent to the LaTeX \\ function. If
both newlines and line breaks are designed to work the way it is (i.e.
not a bug), then please downgrade this report to wishlist. Thank you.
