You chose 'header-article' as your style (or as a package)?
That is strange, because you should rather choose 'article'
(if you do so, then the package 'header-article' is
automatically included).

That is a bug; '\degreesign' does not seem to
be recognized by LaTeX. If someone wants to make
a patch to correct this problem (and similarly for
the other symbols in std-symbol.ts)...
