1. Why do you think the answer is wrong? Seems OK for the product of
single-precision floats...
2. I cannot reproduce it with clisp-based maxima 5.9, I get
8.0 10^{-4}
3. If you use command-line maxima, what do you get from
tex(0.04*0.02);
?
