I can't really help you, because I haven't found any documentation on 
this new truetype font business in TeXmacs. I have, however, put a 
configure flag "--with-freetype=link" into the new fink package for 
1.0.2.7. This allows me to see *some* truetype fonts in the 
Format->(Font)Name menu. I don't understand yet why these and not others 
or all of them.
