You see the packages used by the style in the status bar.
If you want to write your own style files, I recommend to
take a look at
Help -> Manual -> Summary of the principal TeXmacs tags
I also plan to make it easier for users to create style files this year
and to write more documentation about that issue. At the moment
you will still find editing style files a bit hacky.
