try something like that:

+ insert block (Insert->Table->Plain block)
+ set its background (Table->Cell background color->...)
+ set cell to be multi-paragraph (Table->Special cell 
properties->Hyphenation->Multi-paragraph)
+ insert code environment (Text->Environment->Code)

now you can insert your code.
