Hi Leno,
I have attached my own pluginpaths.txt for
PARI. This file is normally created by the program upon first execution
and must reside in the .TeXmacs\plugins directory (will either be in your home
directory or the program files/texmacs directory if under win9x). If PARI
is found, it will show up under your sessions menu. Please let me know if
you have success using other packages. Technically, anything should work
as long as it can be executed from the command line. The pluginpaths.txt
file is just used to add directory paths to the PATH variable. The syntax
of this file is very simple. Just put one path per line to be added to the
PATH variable. It also ignores lines starting with "#".
Sorry if I was so vague before :)
Dan

Dan, I have followed your development of WinTexmacs with interest waiting to try to use algebra sessions with it. You have given brief instructions on the Texmacs mailing list as to how to use the plugins but I am afraid that I know too little to do it properly. As I understand it I should, say to access pari, create a file called pluginspath.txt in the plugins directory and then include a line giving the path to the pari directory on my hard drive. The pari installation program installed Pari to a directory C:\Program Files\PARI. What should be the syntax of the line pointing the path to pari? (I tired several variants with no success.) I am most interested in running maxima, gnuplot, and mupad from within wintexmacs and will be happy to report any success I have with these if I can first get anyone of them running. If it was inappropriate for me to email you directly I apologize. If you would be so kind as to send an example pluginspath.txt file I would be very appreciative.
