I really enjoy the 'kill-ring' in emacs, where killed text is placed at
the front of a ring, so I can yank it back with C-y, then cycle through
the ring with M-y. It's occasionally useful to have that ability...
Another thing is that in XEmacs, when 'delete-key-deletes-selection' is
set, I can highlight then kill or M-w a piece of text, and it goes into
the kill ring. But if I push 'Backspace' or 'Del', it gets deleted but
the kill ring is NOT modified. I use this all the time. I keep track,
mentally, of the top few items in the kill ring. When I want to put
something in there, I use C-w, when I don't want it in there, I use
'Backspace'.
