I already know that and never personally use footnotes (I haven't needed
floating objects so far).
With my PIII600 it was very difficult to work even only if a paragraph
got longer than say 8 lines. With an Athlon3000+ (no footnotes) even
long documents are pleasing to type. Anyway, don't forget that documents
can be modularized for increased responsiveness.

Yes, we should really support Joris, he has good ideas but not much
time. If you want to amuse yourself with newcoming features, try typing
\graphics.
