I've met this bear before but he is back courtesy of system updates including a new TeXmacs RPM. I have
TeXmacs version 1.0.4.4 (c) 1999-2003 by Joris van der Hoeven installed. I'm in the process of downloading and installing TeXmacs-fonts which rpm just told me was already installed. TeXmacs has taken to coring with error messages generating fonts. Specifically, it comes up just fine after chugging some to populate the font cache. The following operations will make it crash.

1. Documents->Style->Book
2. Text->Title->Insert Title

tetex-afm-2.0.2-21.3 is installed.

I'm not quite sure how to proceed. I've tried running TeXmacs as root with similar results.
This particular build is from fedora-extras for FC3 (gcc 3.4.2 and associated glibc).

I'll try TeXmacs-1.0.4.7-1 from texmacs.org while awaiting your kind help.

I'm having the same problem with Texmacs 1.0.4R3 compiled from source on Mac Os X 10.3, or 1.0.4-12 binary from Fink. I recall that a previous version of Texmacs worked on Mac Os X 10.2.
