Hi, 

I would be nice to have a simple command within TeXmacs  that could be used 
to eliminate all any extra space that is inserted by pressing the 
space bar repeatedlly.  I currently run the ascii  .tm file through a sed 
script to replace a sequence of "\ "  with a single space.
