Hola TeXmacs users,
I have a question concerning TeXmacs and gnuplot interaction. When I
define a variable with a gnuplot session of texmacs such as:
a = 3
texmacs returns a question mark (in graphic form). Then when I tried to
verify that the variable 'a' is storing the number 3 with the print command
such as:
print a
texmacs returns the message
undefined variable: a
Notes: This problem does not occur for me with a stand-alone gnuplot session,
i.e. outside of texmacs environment gnuplot accepts the definition. I have
tried texmacs 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 but found the some odd behavior. I am running
gnuplot 4.
Could anybody verify for me they are not having this problem of defining
variables within a gnuplot session of texmacs, and possibly indicate what is
going wrong for me?
Addendum: I have tried another gnuplot plugin for texmacs by Igor Khavkine.
It work well for me, and does not display the problem I experienced with the
bundled plugin. I was fortunate to stumble across Igor's plugin. I wish it
were given more consideration as an alternative plugin for gnuplot within
texmacs.
GrĂ cies,
Mateu
