I'm having the exact same behaviour. When playing with the tm_xypic script, I
found that backslashes are escaped before being sent to the script.
In other words: when I enter e.g. \star inside script-input, the tm_xypic
receives \\star whereas it receives the expected \star in session mode.
Anyway this is a great new feature! Thanks for all your work!!
