Hi,

thank you for your comments!

Document->Page->Type->Automatic looks good and
Insert->Fold->Switch
seems to be what I'm looking for.

Unfortunately, I can not switch between the alternatives. I used Joris presentation example on
http://www.texmacs.org/tmdoc/examples/examples.en.html
and tried F9,F10,F11,F12 with and without Shift, C, A but nothing works. :-(

What could be the reason for it?

Its probably because when you start moving across the pages of the
Switch, the cursor should be *inside* the current page in the Switch.

Look in the menu Insert->Fold->Switch->Switch to preview/next, the
related keyboard shortcuts are written in the menu, and they are
greyed if they are not currently active : thus by moving the cursor
inside the current page of the switch, you should be able to turn
the menu keyboard shortcuts to a non-greyed state.

A 'break' should mean a stop signal on the page, so that I can hide some
things on the page and can show the page gradually. It should be
possible to tinker with different switches. Is there any alternative?

The only available alternative I know is writing the beginning
of your page, then Copy & pasting it to a new page in the Switch,
adding the gradual change you want (e.g. : the values of some
parameters appear in the cells of a table), then Copying & pasting
this modified page in another new page, etc.

Best, Henri
