Hi

I am using texmacs increasingly in my work (not yet for my journal
submissions
but in everything else). I need a few answers to my questions. I have used
LaTeX for years, but do not know how one accomplishes certain tasks in
texmacs :

1. Is \nonumber implicit in equations ? I have set labels to equations
(immediately after the equation environment box) and then tried to refer to
them, but no number shows up next to the equations I write and all \ref's to
different equation labels resolve to 2 (which should not be the case).

2. How do I create an \eqnarray environment with & & alignment marks ? When
you have a mathematical derivation, this is essential.

3. How does one reorder the bibliographic numbering ? Let us say you have
written some text and inserted some visible citations. Then you go back into
an earlier paragraph and insert a few more citations - these end up getting
numbers out of order - a situation familiar to anyone who has used LaTeX with
BibTeX. Without texmacs, the solution is to delete .blg and .bbl files and
rerun BibTeX followed by LaTeX (possibly more than once) and the citations
get ordered. How does one do this with texmacs ? Merely updating the document
does not do the trick.

4. Right now, if I need to add multiple citations at a certain point, the
citations appear as [1][3][4][5][10] .... I am using the bibliographic style
plain. I imagine that if I use the style abbrev, I will get to enter
references in the same box - [1,3-5,10]. The question is - once set, how do I
change the bibliographic style ?

Thanks.
