, it is said that ps2pdf could do the job, by means
of using the "-sPAPERSIZE=a4" option, namely, under
a shell :

/home/smith>ps2pdf -sPAPERSIZE=a4 my-paper.ps my-paper.pdf
/home/smith>_

This way, till this bug is corrected, you can solve the
problem by means of always exporting to postscript, and
then using a command line command similar to the one above
to export to PDF.
