1. create a new document
2. choose Document->Style->Article
3. choose Document->Page->Type->Paper
4. type A-1 to start a section; name it "Section"
5. move the caret above the section
6. choose Text->Automatic->Table of contents
7. choose Document->Update->Table of contents
8. same as point 7.
