What exactly do you mean by ./configure script did not like it when
compiling with g++-4.2? Can you please copy & paste the errors?
I just now tried texmacs 1.0.6.12 with g++-4.2 4.2.3 20071014 (prerelease)
on Debian Sid. Both configure and make went without any hiccups.
