Hi , wondered if anyone in the user community had encountered the problem below, and could advise.

By the way, I have no exposure to this software and have not even started using it – a fellow student suggested it to me for course work.

Hi, I wondered if you could help.

I am not sure if this is a bug or an installation issue. I downloaded the CygTeXmacs.zip which I unzipped to C:\CygTeXmacs – Cygwin is not installed.

 

I tried to launch TeXmacs by clicking on starttexmacs.bat but the messages below were returned.

See also cmd.exe messages.

And file /tmp/XWin is attached.

 

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium, 64-bit, with 4GB RAM.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.
