Hi!

I'm trying to insert a backquote (`) into a part of a document that  
lists a shell script. (In verbatim form).
I copied the text, and pasted it "verbatim". This gave me something  
that really looks like a back-quote in my document. (But it is not  
what I get when I simply press the back-quote key on my keyboard.)

If I try to export the resulting document to html or latex, I get an  
error that looks like:

An the resulting file is empty.

When I look at the .tm file, it indeed looks fishy:

<\body>
 This is a test. \0Hello`
---

The \0 is the pasted backquote, the second one is the backquote that  
gets inserted by pressing the backquote key.

But -  if I export the document to verbatim, i.e. to a text file, then  
the first backquote is the one that is saved correctly, and the second  
one is some kind of garbage:

This is a test. `Hello<E2><80><98>
