Hi everybody,

Could anyone, please, publish the new version of QT TeXmacs for Mac OS
X on the TeXmacs website and/or update the version available via fink?
The version available via Fink (even the unstable branch) is fairly old,
the (QT, os X) version on the texmacs website is not the last one,

For the Fink version, I try to keep it up to date if my time permits, and if I happen to learn about the release of a new version (since new releases are not announced, this is random).

What I do is I update the Fink package description and try to build the package. If it does not compile, as is frequently the case, in particular for the qt and the apparently now abandoned aqua version, or if it compiles but crashes quickly when running, I spend some time trying to fix it, but if the time needed for this is more than I have available, then the package does not get updated.

Currently, Fink has texmacs-qt-1.0.7.3, which may be "fairly old". In any case, it is pretty buggy. I have a package description for 1.0.7.5 that builds, creates an app bundle, and runs, but I haven't managed to run any of the plugins, so I didn't release this to Fink. Trying to build texmacs-qt-1.0.7.7 fails with the error

./Plugins/MacOS/mac_app.mm: In function 'bool mac_alternate_startup()':
./Plugins/MacOS/mac_app.mm:145: warning: 'NSEvent' may not respond to '+modifierFlags'
./Plugins/MacOS/mac_app.mm:145: warning: (Messages without a matching method signature
./Plugins/MacOS/mac_app.mm:145: warning: will be assumed to return 'id' and accept
./Plugins/MacOS/mac_app.mm:145: warning: '...' as arguments.)
./Plugins/MacOS/mac_app.mm:145: error: invalid conversion from 'objc_object*' to 'NSUInteger'
make[1]: *** [Objects/mac_app.o] Error 1

Since ObjectiveC++ is not on the list of languages I currently try to learn, I cannot fix this crash, and so for the moment the Fink package remains at 1.0.7.3. I'll try again without the --enable-macosx-extensions configure option, and maybe it will then build, but this needs time, and so it will not happen today or tomorrow.
