How does one edit the source view of a document? For example, I have a

see this described anywhere in the help.

You can open the texmacs file with any text editor, and you can also use
document/view/edit source tree: is this enough?

I know I can edit the .tm file with emacs, for example. But then you have to worry about matching the < and >s.

What I'm asking has to do with the Document->View->Edit source approach. Is there a structured way to delete environments? For example, in normal mode, pressing Ctl-backspace in the right spot deletes the enclosing environment.

(On the other hand, I just noticed the new help documentation on
creating presentations with TeXmacs, this is very welcome!)

I'm interested: where is that?

In Texmacs 1.0.7.7 (at least the SVN version of a few days ago), under Help->Manual.
