I just tried the svn version. I compiled it, and now I can type spanish accents with my keyboard.
I do not know if it is an issue of only the pre-compiled binaries, but the problem was still present in the pre-compiled version 1.0.7.10
Thanks!

two keys on the left of the Enter key on my Macintosh keyboard
(at the usual place of the English '). I tried the Qt version
on Ubuntu 10.10, 32 bits. I managed to type á using "dead-' a".
I will try under X11 and let you know if something fails there.
Best wishes, --Joris
