Some brief documentation is available in
Help -> Manual -> Laptop presentations
The styles can be customized using the stylesheet language.
Customizing the visual effects is more complex, since part of
it relies on Qt. This is also on our list though.
If you want to be helpful for improving the beamer style,
then it would be nice to design additional decorations;
both for text and the entire document. This in particular
requires to find some nice (free) clipart for background
images and motives. Notice that Qt-TeXmacs also implements
alpha transparency (screen only), which may also be useful.
