I used to have terrible problems with .svg files, until I discovered that they have a "canvas size" property that can be set (perhaps something like document properties menu in the editor I was using).
If the canvas size is not an integer, many, many tools will break when trying to read the file.

that is not, thought, a deep worry for me; this is not a really first-importance-question
(for example "how to modify/hide the headers ?" would be such a question...)
i would just have been more simple for me
