OK, I see the difference. In Latex, you would just type in "dx" to get the same, I believe.

In Temxacs, if you type "dx" vs "d+space+tab+x" in math mode, you get two different ways of showing dx. I use the latter. do you see the difference?

If you simply type

dx

in your Latex, you will get dx side by side. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something. Why not simply write 'dx'?

Hi All,

In math mode, when you type space+tab, you can delete the space between two characters. This allows you to type, for example, "dx", in a
different, non text-mode way. What is the equivalent of space+tab in latex?

Thanks,
K
