Dear Fabricio,
I'm not very familiar with Spanish keyboard layout (I have a French keyboard),
but as far as I can tell the accented characters are input in texmacs just as in
any other applications. It even works for me if I select Spanish layout: I can
get á by pressing ' (key left to return) then a. This is with Ubuntu. Could it
be different with Debian?
I don't think so.. Debian is the "base" of Ubuntu, so the two are likely equal.
Do you have problems in other applications?
No, other applications works perfect. I can write á, à, â or even ạ, so composition works. In the real console (CTRL+ALT+F1) I can write accents too.
I'm using Debian Squeeze, could be that is too old?
A little more data: my character encoding is UTF-8 and command 'locale' returns all in "es_AR.UTF-8".
Many thanks for the answer. At least now i know that my email is working :)
