Attached is a screen-grab of a 1600% PDF of a texmacs circle drawn about the same size as a texmacs point.
Question: Why doesn't it look like a circle? Instead it's a mostly regular 11 sided shape. It's not like this is a 1980's quick-draw preview, and this is actually a PDF export! And yet for a (unsizable point) texmacs does manage to draw a proper circle.
If it's not something I'm doing wrong, I'll open a bug report.
Here is the graphics fragment that drew it:
<with|fill-color|black|<carc|<point|0.572512898531552|1.21429752612779>|<point|1.85522225162058|0.833294747982537>|<point|0.915415398862283|2.37000595316841>>>
It is slightly amusing how bad the precision of the drawing is in contrast to the number of decimal places supported in the drawing grid!
I also wonder why a post-script circle primitive was not emitted instead.
