You can try running TeXmacs in a terminal (shell) window, with the -debug option,
so you can see what is actually happening, and it will not be a mystery any more.

Ah, the famous PDF export bug... If that's what I think it is, then I may
have had the same issue. Just to check, but you're using the latest release
(1.0.7.16 if I'm not mistaken), right?
Yes, it is 1.0.7.16.

Also, does TeXmacs generate a .PDF file with PostScript content (which of
course is wrong, but I believe this was fixed somewhat), or huge real PDF
file with garbled images?
It just doesn't generate anything. No files, no error messages. Just
like nothing happened :-P

- If the former, do you have GhostScript and all the dependencies
installed? Versions?
- If the latter, there's a patch available for that bug, and I hope I can
make things move and get it integrated with the next release in one way or
another!
Great. Thanks.

Hi all,

The current Mac OS X version doens't generate any PDF files when I
select File->Export-PDF. I have to export to PS and then use ps2pdf. I
had the same issue with an earlier Windows version (before 1.7).

Is it a bug or do I need to install something else? It probably just
need a small fix but I think this function needs to work out of box.
It is likely to scare new users away when they found that this doesn't
work.

I'm not new user and I know how good TeXmacs is, so I'm staying with
it any way ;-)
