I've also seen the same problem, it has nothing to do with
itensor. You can see it if you simply type "1+1"
in the maxima session.
The problem is caused by a new definition of "myprinc" in
mactex.lisp of maxima 5.30.
I've reported the problem some time ago to Andrey Grozin, and he
is working on it.
