This is a totally uninformed blind guess, but the menu positions are a Qt thing, so maybe there is a Qt solution... I'll be interested too. I move the two toolbars to two sides of my windows each time.

I've "discovered" today that the toolbars with icons can be moved using mouse to the right of the window instead of the top.
I've successfully moved the icons, but when I exited TeXmacs and started it again, the toolbars were again on the top.
I want to move the icons permanently. Can this be done?
