Dear Francois,

Thanks for taking time to reply to me. Well for the time being, I found that the TeXmacs version "TeXmacs-1.0.7.2-2.el6.x86_64.rpm" from epel repositories works well on Fedora 20. Link: "ftp://mirrors.ircam.fr/pub/fedora/epel/6/x86_64/TeXmacs-1.0.7.2-2.el6.x86_64.rpm";

The difficulty I observed with this version is that the R plugin will not work, even after replacing the older one with the new updated version that Prof. Lachmann has advised. When the R session is launched in TeXmacs, the R interface gives a warning that the "TeXmacs version is compiled before R-3.0.0." So the solution to this issue can be that the fedora 20 should have two R versions installed, one to keep TeXmacs working and other for the latest exploits.

But other wise its great going with TeXmacs on newer fedoras. Hopefully, this will benefit someone looking to work on TeXmacs in newer fedora systems.

Regards,

Arun

If I correctly understand, Fedora's packagers have made a big mistake.
