The 1.0.7 version does a good job for long .tm files.
I have verified that TeXmacs-1.0.7 can handle a file longer than 300 pages very well while TeXmacs-1.0.7.21 shows obvious delay when I try to delete a new-line-break in the file.

Hi François,

I found that the slow response of TeXmacs.1.99 occurs when the .tm file becomes long (e.g. about 100pages) even if the .tm file is newly created by TeXmacs.1.99. So this issue may be not related to which version of TeXmacs creates the .tm file but to how long the .tm file is.
Thus this issue seems to be a general one that needs serious consideration.
Since the slow response most obviously occurs when inputting  or deleting a new-line-break, the bugs may be related to the page-break/paragraph-break/line-break algorithm in TeXmacs.
Thank you for your help.

Hi François,

Attached is a tarball which contains a file named "a.tm" and all the figures linked in the file.
Specifically, you can check whether there is an obvious delay when you press "Enter" key at the end of the first line of the first paragraph.
Thank you for your help.

Could you please send me one of them ? I will check if I can find the
bug.
