Prompted by Andrzej experience I tried also
on my Macbook Pro, OSX 10.9.5, 8G Ram, HD solid state Transcend,
2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, in general a machine that works
well and which i don't hack, it is clean. I get the same bad performace,
maybe an epsilon better, but far from good.

I'm using TeXmacs stable (1.99.2), Andrzej,
can you please tell me which version you are using ?

goodnight
Nicola

Hi guys,

I'm studing a large set of health centers for a company,
well, i was trying to insert a sorted list of these centers
in my report when I saw there is a notable slowdown
in TeXmacs.

When making a simple table of about 600 elements TeXmacs
gets extremely slow and eventually i lose control of the
interface.

The data was imported from TeX. I'm on a Debian stable,
TeXmacs stable. VMWare Linux guest in OSX host.

I attach you the .tm file, maybe in your computer it
runs smoothly ... otherwise probably there is something
to tune in the table algorithms.

Let me know.

bye
