Dear texmacs users:

Recently I want to define pi as the parameter of profit function, which followed the Economic fashion. Also, since there are many firms, I want to let the function definition with x_[i]. However, for some reason I cannot do that:

the pure x_[i] part:

How can I solve this and use familiar parameters as definition?
