By the way, this bug only concerns the version I installed from ubuntu on debian9.1.

It is a very minor bug for me since in I will rather use other editors like emacs for python, and xterm for the shell!

Hello,
I discovered another failure of TeXmacs.
When I start any outer session (python, shell...), the caracters are not displayed. Something is happening, the cursor is here (red), CR (enter) is taken into account. I could not change the color of the fonts, but I modified the color of the background. So the caracters are not even printed in white.

best regards,

Alexandre

Hello,

After rebooting it works well, althought texmacs still complains :
"Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
TeXmacs] With linked TrueType support"

The accuentuated caracters are correctly input and displayed from keybord. Display in the loading window is OK now for all caracters.
However, in the "recent file" tab, the file names miss a correct display if the name contains an accentuated caracter.

Nevertheless, for working, problems are solved.
Thank you for your help.

best regards

Alexandre

The path problem texmacs (from the deb package) complains about is most likely
a remnant of the installation of the static build. I had no such problem with
the install I described in my previous post.
In order to correct it, you need to somehow undo the step 4 for the
installation of the static binary
(http://www.texmacs.org/tmweb/download/unix.en.html): Revert the changes you
might have done to any of your session config files to have this path
permanently set, then logout and login again.

Philippe
