Dear Massimiliano,

YES - the second hint solved the problem. PS: Hint 1) did not worked for me.
Thanks again very much. You are really really a wizard on the MacOS.

(( I tried to get Macaulay2 running on Emacs, but now it is much more elegant
to start M2 as a session inside TeXmacs - wonderful feeling, impressive workplace.))

It is possible that your user preferences or some cache file is corrupted.

Two possibility to reset the used-related files:

1) Run TeXmacs by clicking on the icon in the Dock while keeping the Alt key pressed. It should show the initial screen with the welcome.

*or*

2) from the Termina execute (provided you didn't added anything important to ~/.TeXmacs)

rm -r ~/.TeXmacs

***be careful*** since if you make typing errors here then you can damage your files or your system!!!!!!!!

best

Dear group,

Here is my problem:

I open TeXmacs per double click on the app.
TeXmacs starts, seems searching/loading the (old) file nonane (2) from an earlier session - and nothing works any more.

It is not possible to cancel (x) file ’no name (2) or to stop TeXmacs with it's own (x).
The only possibility is shut down TeXmacs via the Apple icon (left above) and stop the process in the process window.

What to do?

PS: deleting the app and installing fresh results in the same situation … :(
I am lost.
