Vincent,

on Windows there should be a place where all the applications put the *user* data, so it is anot something like programsx86/TeXmacs but a path where there is the name of the user.

I think it should be pointed by the APPDATA global variable, so you can open a shell and do

echo $APPDATA

or something similar, I do not use Windows since many years, sorry...

hi Max and Pierre Henri
thanks for answers

very very strange indeed :
- i've found the second contextual menu, (control + two fingers-clic) displaying file, edit, view...
- now here what's happening (TeXmacs 1.99.16 + windows 10 n°2004) :
- when i open any .tm file on the Pc, the display is full screen without any menu bar, except the windows status bar at the bottom
- i make ctrl-dble-clic/view/full screen this put me into full screen mode, now all the menus-tools-etc bars are visible ; the windows bottom bar are disappeared ; the margins left/right outside the document but inside the TeXmacs windows are black ; i don't have the little windows' cross to close the doc
- i make ctrl-dble-clic/view/full screen again, so the result is that the view menu confirms me that i am not more in full screenmode, though all is exactly the same than before (no windows bar bottom , no windows's cross to close but all the menus/tools bars visible), the only difference is the margin are grey
- in all these manips, the result is similar by replacing the both ctrl-dble-clic/view/full screen actions by F9
- in the programsx86/TeXmacs folder (i have set the windows preferences to display invisible files), nor in any first level folder inside this /TeXmacs/ folder, i have found no file starting with .
only a init-texmacs.scm but i'm not sure it's the godd one and i have not tried to remove it ; i have made the same research in Users/[name]/AppData/Roaming/TeXmacs' first level folders...

our pb, so, is partially solved but not satisfying

Vincent

Erase the .TeXmacs directory or just use Ctrl+Click to open the contexual menu, from there you have again a "View" menu where you can go back to normal screen.
