Hi Vincent,

The horizontal line is a repeated '-' character, so its width cannot
be modified.  But you can very well select the hrule and do

    Format -> Font effects -> Magnify vertically

If you want to do this globally, then you should modify the 'hrule'
macro to do such a thing.
