hi
i am wondering that something simple could be done to make tableaux de variation easy to build inside TeXmacs
some items related with tabulation are missing for the moment :
an equivalent of esc-esc-tab that would not create a blanck space but an extensible diagonale arrow (right-down ↘︎ and right-up ➚)
an equivalent of esc-esc-tab that would a blanck space with a + or a - at the middle
say, if :
* esc-esc-/ would create and extensible right-up ➚ arrow
* esc-esc-\ would create and extensible right-down ↘︎ arrow
* esc-esc-+ would create and extensible space with a + at the middle
* esc-esc-– would create and extensible space with a - at the middle
then i would create a tableau de variation by making a large bloc with 3 lines and, for example for x|->2x^3-3x^2 :
line 1, column 2 : -∞ esc-esc-tab 0 esc-esc-tab 1 esc-esc-tab +∞
line 2, column 2 : esc-esc-+ 0 esc-esc-– 0 esc-esc-+
line 3, column 2 : _-∞ esc-esc-/ ^0 esc-esc-– _-1 esc-esc-+ ^+∞
that remains artisanal, but artisanal is better than impossible
what do you think about that ?
