There is an interesting post on the forum, at http://forum.texmacs.cn/t/how-to-enter-accented-strings-from-scm-modules-without-encoding-problems/737, with the title "How to enter accented strings from .scm modules without encoding problems?"

I suspect that there is something that needs a clarification, in that accented letters entered from the keyboard are copied as "themselves" using "Edit -> Copy to -> TeXmacs Scheme", but then one does not obtain them again when inserting them from Scheme code. Does anyone know?
