For the moment, no. On the other hand if you center a _range_
cells in a column and then insert new rows inside that range,
the settings for the range will be applied to the new cell too.

Well, you can always create a 'centered block'.
Or create your own table macro with specific alignment properties,
color schemes, etc., if you repeatedly need a specific kind of table.
