Dear Vincent,
It should be possible but thinking on how to write it one should understand
whether to add to the exercise number the current section, subsections or
sub subsection. Do you really want them labelled with subsubsections? This
has to be recorder somewhere at the point where you put the exercise label,
so that later on one can retrieve this information and format a correct
reference. It is not difficult I guess. But require you to understand a bit
better how counters and labels work in TeXmacs. I suggest you give a look at
how the current \label macro works.
An easy way out would be just to number exercises in a progressive manner
from the start of the book :)
