An idea is to test in your computer making sure that you have default settings. As far as I understand (hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong) one can achieve this by deleting one's personal initialization folder; of course before deleting you have to save a copy of your current one elsewhere if you need it.

Let me be more specific. In math mode I created a table with the first column being row numbers. I decided to change the font size and color of these row numbers. Now when I make a new row, instead of adding typing in the new row number and making two format changes, I wanted to copy and paste a previous row number then just edit the number.
